Fort Lauderdale

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale this morning at 6:15 am EST. Our flight left Seattle at 9:50 PST, and after a 5 1/2 hour flight, we arrived in Fort Lauderdale. Of course, our body clocks read 3:30 am, and we didn't get much sleep on the plane, so we are quite tired.

It is far too early to check into our hotel, but we got the shuttle anyhow, and they are holding our bags until our room is ready (people have to check out, and then the room has to be cleaned before we can get in). A shower and likely a nap will be in order, and then we may go do a bit of shopping before our cruise starts tomorrow morning.

Karen and Lloyd are supposed to get into Ft. Lauderdale later this afternoon. They leave Seattle at about 8:00 am PST, but are flying to Chicago first, and then on to Ft. Lauderdale. We assume they will be here for supper, but imagine that they will also be tired, so may not want to do much tonight.

Anyhow, this is the start of our next vacation. These photos are of the pool deck at the hotel where we are waiting for our room.
